Palak left Dhaka for Brussels
The Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak went to Belgium on the special invitation of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Minister's Public Relations Officer Shahidul Alam Majumdar confirmed that he left Dhaka on a two-day visit on Monday morning.
During the visit, the Minister of State will participate in the "Tech Accelerator Program 2023" organized by the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change to be held on Tuesday, October 24, in Brussels, the capital of Belgium. Social media guidelines will be discussed in the event. In addition to global guidelines of online social media such as Facebook, Instagram, X, regional guidelines are gaining importance. In this regard, ICT State Minister Palak is expected to shed light on content moderation by taking into consideration Bangladesh's independence-sovereignty, culture and religious values.
In the meeting, ministers, members of parliament, government and private organizations from 31 countries including Bangladesh, Britain, Angola, Moldova, Zambia, Singapore, Morocco, Albania, Vietnam, Timor, Bulgaria, Russia, Greece, UK, Romania and others are participating.
